Swimming, gradual slope for children, little boat traffic, ideal for swim marathon training

Sandy beach for playing and sunbathing, shallow water for children (frogs, tadpoles, turtles, minnows)

Canoeing, kayaking, paddleboat - Sportspal canoe and paddleboat provided, kayaks may be arranged

Unmaintained Public Boat launch at the end of the lake (300m) for small fishing boats

Badminton, (net, rackets, birdies provided)

Campfire – Large fire pit with amazing view of the sunset, northern lights and star studded night sky.

Bush trails - Bush trails are recently blazed or re-established by myself on crown land, starting from the cottage. Virtually private. Maps in the cottage. Bush trails to nearby unique bog lake (1/2 km)

Mountain Biking - on old logging roads, and nearby Voyageur multiuse trail (http://www.vmuts.com) BYOB

Alexandria Forest Provincial Park on north east side of Harrington Lake.

Adjacent to 100’s of square kms of crown land.

Hunting. WMU 41. Weekly hunt season rental available. Deer rifle season first 2 weeks of November. Limit 4 hunters. No running water in November (Moose Oct 5 to Dec 15, but limited due to low tag numbers for WMU 41)
