Amphitheatre is the playground of toprope friendly rock between the highway and the lake. Fun for families and first timers with a rack to set up top-ropes. Please be safe with helmets as the loose rock shifts every winter and does fall.
A great toprope slab at the right side (road side) of the amphitheatre. Requires a rack and long webbing to set up a toprope.
Features short, steep, easy to hard (5.7-5.12), lead and top-rope routes. Information at Klatt's Site or Mountain Project
Accessible from the same parking as Old Camp Bluff and is the perfect balance- long easy multipitch on low-angle granite. Plenty of great informaiton at Mountain Project.
The Big Cheese Wall is a great rappelling site with some moderate climbing just north of the Silver Lake campground. Walk along the creek to find it.
Eratica is a bouldering site, research at Supertopo or The Crag.
The Two Sentinels are accessible from the Thunder Mountain trailhead by Carson Spur. It is a long hike up to them, but rewarding sport climbs on deceptively challenging rock await.
