Developed by various climbers from South Lake Tahoe and Kirkwood, the lake features lots of challenging and more moderate short climbs. Everything from easy 3rd class formations for exploring to inviting 5.6 crack to 5.12 crimper face climbs is available here.
Day Use: $10 per car
Camping: $30 per night 12 sites with drinking water and pit toilets. Lake access shared with private cabins and Girl Scout camp.
Elevation 7500 feet so snow lingers and weather predictions may be inaccurate but Kirkwood should give pretty accurate conditions.
An amazing playground of toprope climbs next to the trail and acres off the trail. Bring natural gear and slings for anchors and enjoy the tremendous variety of climbing available!
Small cliffs are directly outside campsites 3-5. Trail leading out of campsite 2 has a number of walls less than 5 minutes from the campground.
Larger cliffs are about a half hour hike from the campground. A complete playground of rock:

South facing wall good for fall climbing or cloudy summer days.
Most anchors are too far over the edge to access for top rope setup.
Located about 1 mile west of the campground, after crossing the creek.
