Marvin G. Clifton, son of William Clifton and Ruth Cochran, was born 30 Dec 1926; died 11 Oct 2005. He married Marjorie Stevens.

Marjorie C. Clifton, 82, of Roanoke, Va., died on Saturday, December 18, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin G. Clifton. She is survived by her two children, a son, Mark S. Clifton; and a daughter, Marta Gwen Clifton; four grandchildren, Mark S. Clifton II, Beth Ann Crumpler and husband, Brian, Laura May Clifton, and Sarah Lynn Binette and husband, Elijah; two great-grandchildren, Jaden and Aliyah Binette. Marjorie graduated from Jefferson High School and was a long time member of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church. A Memorial Service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, with the Rev. Gary Robbins and the Rev. Arthur Grant officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, P.O. Box 801018, Charlottesville, Va. 22903.
