Benjamin Bailey Clifton, son of Willis Winston Clifton, was born 10 May 1909 in Rockingham Co, NC, and died 29 Nov 2004. He married Thelma Leake. She was born 28 Apr 1914 in Patrick Co, Va, and died 04 Mar 1991.

THELMA L. CLIFTON

Mrs. Thelma Leake Clifton, 76, of Ridgeway, was dead on arrival Monday night, March 4, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.

She was born in Patrick County on April 28, 1914, a daughter of the late Peter Watt Leake and Maggie Rea Leake.

Surviving are her husband, Ben Bailey Clifton of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Sabra C.) Easter of Ridgeway; one son, Richard B. Clifton of Bassett; one grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Monnie L. Grogan of Martinsville Convalescent Center and Mrs. Margaret L. Bardales of Tocoma Park, Md.; one brother, David W. Leake of Spencer, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held today (Wednesday) at Christian view Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
