After I moved the boat from its winter home to my garage, the cars have had to live outside. I have to tell my wonderful wife, "it'll be soon and the boat will be outside."
I varnished the cockpit and other wooden piece I do not know the name of. I am trying to get in touch with a person who had wood I can use to create what I call gunnels, but in the rowing parlance, what the boat builder, George Pocock, calls bedes, the half-round strips at the exterior edges of the decks.
I also attached the aircraft fabric/dacron to the boat. I am awaiting the next steps as I am unsure of what I need to do - heat to shrink them apply layer of 'paint' or...just paint? I am awaiting word on how to do this.
