Here is a link to a nice article about me and the boat.
This site chronicles the restoration of a 1950 era wooden rowing shell built by George Pocock. It is 26 feet long and weighs around 25 pounds. When I got it in 2014, it was full of cracks. There were two holes too. The silver shell on the ground is 23 feet long. (It does not have any holes.)

The picture below is the completed and award winning boat. The trophy on the right side the award it received for Best in Show at the White Bear Lake Classic and Vintage Boat Shows in 2017 and 2019.
Just to be clear, while I have rowed this boat and it is seaworthy, it is more of a 'show boat' than a 'row boat.' It took a LOT of work and sweat but it was worth it for the skills I learned and friends I made during its restoration!
