YGC Summer Girls Event 2013

FEAR NOT!

I love my ladies!!! I love their creativity. I love their passion for Jesus! I love how they love on our girls. We had a blessed night with 17 young ladies choosing to participate in our event “Fear Not!.” Cathy, my decorator-extraordinaire’ remade one of the gym walls into a beautiful collage of lion posters, safari decor, and jungle leaves. I buy the supplies with a generous gift from ministry partner Barbara, and Cathy makes it happen!! The table leaders provided beautiful welcoming tables for our girls. Every lady welcomed every girl with a warm smile and kind words. Rhonda and Caitlin opened with a powerful time of worship after which I shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s incredible gift of salvation. Throughout the remainder of the evening, the girls worked on their journal craft, enjoyed sweet treats, and most importantly shared with the ladies their life stories, their heartaches, their joys, and their dreams of the future, who in turn poured the hope of Jesus Christ into thirsty souls. For two brief hours, the girls are able to forget they are locked up and experience God’s unconditional love. Please pray for our girls!!!
