BBC CENSORS WILFRED BURCHETT, famous Australian writer and journalist who was the first foreign correspondent to enter Hiroshima after it was atomic bombed

Wilfred Graham Burchett (16 September 1911 – 27 September 1983) was a very famous Australian and international journalist known for his reporting of conflicts in Asia and his Communist sympathies. Most importantly he was the first foreign correspondent to enter Hiroshima after the atomic bomb was dropped, and reported from the Communist side during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Wanting to return to Australia on the death of his father and then of his brother, he was denied an Australian passport and famously was smuggled into Australia by light aircraft in 1970. The reformist Whitlam Labor Government issued him with a passport in 1972 (see “Wilfred Burchett”, Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilfred_Burchett ).

A search of the endlessly lying and censoring BBC for the term “Wilfred Burchett” yields ZERO (0) reportage of his life and work. The only search result is an article by Jeremy Wagstaff disparaging the Internet and entitled “Does the Internet reinforce prejudices?”, BBC, 10 March 2010: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8587759.stm . In this only reference to Wilfred Burchert on the BBC, Wagstaff states: “The irony that people are willing to believe that other people online are only interested in reading stuff that feeds their small little worlds and points of view is not lost on me. The truth is actually quite the opposite. My favourite way to illustrate this is with Wikipedia. Start reading an article on Wikipedia on jam-making and I guarantee that an hour or so later you will be reading an article on the writings of Wilfred Burchett. And you'll have done this merely by clicking on a link in one article, and then another, and then another. Call it focus disorder or whatever you want, but the day the link was invented was the day narrow interests died.”

One notes the Wilfred Burchett is sufficiently famous to have a Wikipedia entry (see “Wilfred Burchett”, Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilfred_Burchett ). and a Google Search for “Wilfred Burchett” elicits 59,000 results. However the BBC deems Australia’s most famous journalist apart from John Pilger unworthy of any mention and evidently feels in fealty to its Anglo-American state terrorism Masters that its audience should not read about, know about or think about such as person.

Of course the BBC is not alone in this dishonest and cowardly censorship. Thus a search of “The Cambridge History of Australia” reveals that “Burchett” and “Pilger”, Australia’s most famous journalists. are both absent from the index (see Gideon Polya, “Review The Cambridge History of Australia ignores Australian involvement in 30 genocides”, Countercurrents, 14 October 2013: http://www.countercurrents.org/polya141013.htm ).

The BBC has an appalling record of censoring out things that its masters evidently do not want people to read, hear, know about or think about (see “Censorship by the BBC”: https://sites.google.com/site/censorshipbythebbc/ ). Of course the BBC is not alone in cowardly, unethical and dishonest censorship. For details of media-derived censorship by the global Murdoch media empire, Australian Fairfax media, the Australian ABC, the UK BBC, and the Australian universities-backed web magazine The Conversation in Neocon American- and Zionist Imperialist-perverted and subverted Murdochracy, Lobbyocracy and Corporatocracy Australia and elsewhere in the West see “Boycott Murdoch media”: https://sites.google.com/site/boycottmurdochmedia/ ; “Censorship by the BBC”: https://sites.google.com/site/censorshipbythebbc/ ; “Censorship by The Conversation”: https://sites.google.com/site/mainstreammediacensorship/censorship-by ; “Mainstream media censorship”: https://sites.google.com/site/mainstreammediacensorship/home ; “Mainstream media lying”: https://sites.google.com/site/mainstreammedialying/ ; “Censorship by The Age”: https://sites.google.com/site/mainstreammediacensorship/censorship-by-the-age ; “Censorship by ABC Late Night Live”: https://sites.google.com/site/censorshipbyabclatenightlive/ , "Censorship by ABC Saturday Extra": https://sites.google.com/site/censorshipbyabclatenightlive/censorship-by-abc-sat and “ABC fact-checking unit & incorrect reportage by the ABC (Australia’s BBC)”: https://sites.google.com/site/mainstreammediacensorship/abc-fact-checking-unit .

To paraphrase Winston Churchill, the disgusting censorship by the BBC is something up with which we should not put.
