BBC CENSORS PHILIP AGEE - BBC censors out Agee's 3 key revelations about CIA crimes (involvement in subversion of public figures, terrorism & torture and killing of dissidents)

According to Wikipedia (see “Philip Agee”, Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Agee ) “Philip Burnett Franklin Agee (July 19, 1935 – January 7, 2008) was a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) case officer and writer, best known as author of the 1975 book, Inside the Company: CIA Diary, detailing his experiences in the CIA. Agee joined the CIA in 1957, and over the following decade had postings in Washington, D.C., Ecuador, Uruguay and Mexico. After resigning from the Agency in 1968, he became a leading opponent of CIA practices. A co-founder of CovertAction Quarterly, he died in Cuba in January 2008.” He was refused entry to France and to Australia (as revealed by release of secret Australian Government documents in January 2014) and expelled from the UK. The key revelations in Philip Agee’s book were as follows:

1. CIA acquisition of leading politicians and trade union officials as CIA “assets” (it is obvious to Australians and no doubt to people from other countries who the most likely traitors have been and are) .

2. CIA support for terrorist groups who would bomb Catholic churches in the realized expectation that the socialists would be blamed (today Muslim-origin non-state terrorists are a major asset of US state terrorism, providing endless “excuses” for US intervention).

3. CIA involvement in providing authoritarian governments with names of dissidents who would subsequently be arrested, tortured and killed (this is continuing at present in the US War on Terror).

However the 3 BBC reports actually mentioning Philip Agee resolutely fail to mention these 3 key revelations as summarized below in quotes that get closest to but still hide the Awful Truth:

2. BBC, Radio 4, “This week”, 13 January 2008: “Philip Agee. CIA case officer and writer. The former CIA agent made international headlines in the 1970s when he quit the agency and published a book which named 250 of its operatives in South America. Philip Agee claimed he was disgusted by the CIA’s collusion with military dictators in the region, but his former employers were outraged and accused him of being responsible for the deaths of a number of their agents. Agee moved to London and collaborated with left wing journalists in his campaign to expose the international work of the CIA. The American government put pressure on the British authorities to deport Agee. 3. BBC News, 9 January 2008: “A former CIA operative who exposed the agency's undercover operations in Latin America and later settled in Cuba has died aged 72. Mr Agee worked for the CIA for 12 years before resigning in 1969 because he disagreed with US support for Latin American dictatorships. However the ABC is not alone in “disappearing” Philip Agee. Thus searches of leading Australian newspapers for “Philip Agee” also yield zero (0) reportage, these comprehensively Philip Agee-censoring Australian newspapers including The Age (Fairfax media Melbourne), The Sydney Morning Herald (Fairfax media, Sydney), The Canberra Times (Fairfax media, Canberra), The West Australian (Kerry Stokes, Perth), the Murdoch News Limited newspapers The Australian (national), The Courier Mail (Brisbane), The Mercury (Hobart), The Advertiser (Adelaide), The Herald Sun (Melbourne), Perth Now (Perth), NT News (Darwin) and the Murdoch News.com (on-line).

Fortunately for literate and curious Australians, the Australian National Library in Canberra has a copy of Philip Agee’s “Inside the Company. CIA Diary:, as also does, for example, the Borchardt Library at La Trobe University, Melbourne.

While the Australian ABC resolutely refuses to mention Philip Agee, a search of the American ABC for “Philip Agee” yields 13 articles and a search of the iconic UK BBC for “Philip Agee” yields 3 reports that variously mention his book, his expulsion from the UK and his eventual death in Cuba. In contrast, a Google Search for “Philip Agee” yields 110,000 results.
