For Mentors
WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY OFFERING THE MENTOR PROGRAM
Welcome college mentors. Thank you for your time and commitment to help the high school teams develop their projects. On this page you will find information regarding mentor duties and expectations and other relevant info.
Questions about mentors should be directed to Maja Konitzer.
Mentor Guidelines
College mentors will be students from either the College of Business Administration or the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. CBA students should be in either their junior or senior year.
Mentors will provide advice, insight, and experience to support their students, without supplying answers to problems or doing case work. Mentors will familiarize themselves with the CCA program guidelines for student teams so they can better advise students.
Mentors will meet with their student group:
TBA
(Optional) during the competition final held at the University of Pittsburgh. Because this competition occurs after the end of the spring semester, attendance is optional but encouraged.
Mentors may, if they desire, meet with student groups in addition to these designated times either on Pitt’s campus or elsewhere.
Mentors are encouraged to give students an email address so that mentors are available for follow-up questions and advice. Other methods of communication, such as IM or Skype, may also be used if mentors and students choose.
Other Guidelines
For your reference, you may wish to review the rules and guidelines for student teams.
