2024 Season of Wednesday on Main Events

Wednesday On Main concluded a very successful 2024 season Wednesday night, August 21st. It was an incredibly lovely night – at last - we’ve all been waiting for a night like this – with lots of happy people, some cute kids and a few sweet dogs gathered around the Gazebo on our spectacular waterfront walkway, munching on delicious shortbread cookies, reveling in the dramatic beauty of the sky and sea, and listening to the sweet and rocking sounds of Anni & The Rainmakers.

It was the perfect ending to a wonderful summer filled with puppets, amazing performances by musicians of every genre, from here and abroad, singing, playing, picking, fiddling & strumming; Barcelona’s incredible Fado singer; and Bucksport’s own kicking off the season in bluegrass style. We. Loved. Every. Single. Minute.

Your attendance, contributions, sponsorships and encouragement, along with the underwriting of The Town of Bucksport, make Wednesday On Main happen every year – and we’re already working on next year – early June for puppet surprises. These young men and women are chosen from hundreds of applicants from all over the world to study and play with internationally known artists that make up the KH faculty, and we have the rare opportunity to host these accomplished musicians.
