We'll being working on Req. 7 and 8
For Req.7 please write a report in the same google doc. that you shared with me last time. Reporting what you have learned from the community service you participated. Also remember to bring the signed service hours from the in-charge personnel.
For Req. 8, prepare a powerpoint presentation about 5-10 min. regarding the important and unique aspects of your community that described in the workbook.

Make a print of your google document for req. 3 and 4
Please name your document "2012 Citizenship in Community Report - <Your Name>"
Please create google document at least 2 days before 11/11 and share with Mr. Wu
Start watching movie "Wall-E" (2008) (changed from Cars) for one hour
Discuss requirement 3, 4
For make-up participant scouts,
watch movie beforehand (you will in a make-up session 1 and don't have time to watch movie)
bring local map.

For next session, scouts are required to
create a google document for write a report on requirement 3, 4, 7
share documents with Counselor Frank Wu
Watch/attend a public debate or hearing regarding community (can be as large as national, eg. presidential debate)
Interview a government or social worker
Complete the report before next session in mid-Nov.

download Worksheet of Cit. in Community before session begins
Requirements
Disuss right, duty, obligation
Identify government buildings/facilities on map
Watch or attend public hearing or municipal meetings
Interview a government or social worker
Tell the importance of some of public services
8 hour exclusive volunteer hours (not counted as school or BSA service hours)
Presentation (preferred MS PPT) on important and unqiue aspects of your community
Schedule - meet about one month a time for 3 sessions. Each session is around 1~2 hours.
