The Cuban Wives

The film will be followed by a discussion with Steve Cottingham, the lawyer involved in the Miami five case. The Cuban Wives reveals the compelling and tragic story of “the Cuban Five“, five intelligence agents who have been arrested in the United States since 1998. Their crime: an attempt to protect their country from the terrorist attacks of paramilitary organizations operating from Miami. Including intimate accounts from the wives of this men, The Cuban Wives reveals also a story of love and resistance for justice. Organised jointly with Leeds CSC.

Viva Venezuela: Fighting for SocialismA documentary filmed during the last election of Hugo Chavez through his death in 2013. The film explores various aspects of the movement for socialism in Venezuela by interviewing activists, workers, and students in Venezuela as well as contrasting it with the struggle against austerity in the United Kingdom. The film will be followed by a live Skype link to Venezuela.
