Patterson, James

James Brendan Patterson (born March 22, 1947) is an American author. He is largely known for his novels about fictional psychologist Alex Cross, the protagonist of the Alex Cross series. Patterson also wrote the Michael Bennett, Women's Murder Club, Maximum Ride, Daniel X, and Witch and Wizard series, as well as many stand-alone thrillers, non-fiction and romance novels. His books have sold more than 300 million copies^[1]and he holds the Guinness World Record for being the first person to sell 1 million e-books.

My Opinion: My first James Patterson book was Along Came A Spider. I thought it was one of the most exciting, scary, engrossing books I had ever read. I couldn't put it down. Unfortunately, that was his highlight book from my perspective. I

continued to read more but eventually tired of Alex Cross and his romances. For quite a long time I have stayed away from his books. I occasionally pick one up in hopes he has recovered his "mojo" but alas, no such luck.

It is obvious that the public loves him so you will make up your own mind. I will probably not attempt any more of his books.
