I always wanted to write and I pursued it fairly steadily right up through college, taking part in workshops and programs, and hoping that my creative writing ability would qualify as a "special talent" to make up for my rather woeful grades and SAT scores when I was applying to schools. (It didn't). I wound up getting in late to Bard College, after all my other choices turned me down.
My Opinion: I was introduced to the author when her novel "Cover of Snow" was chosen for our book club. I just finished the book and would rate it as fair. Very involved plot but, to me, it was not at all believqable. Then again it seems like I have read an abundance of small town with corrupt police and unbreakable heroin books lately. I probably won't read another of her works.
