David Baldacci was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. A graduate of Henrico High School, he received a B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and a law degree from the University of Virginia, after which he practiced law for nine years in Washington, D.C.. Baldacci began writing stories as a child, when his mother gave him a notebook in which to record them. He wrote for more than two decades, penning short stories and later screenplays without much success.
While practicing law, he turned to novel writing, taking three years to write Absolute Power. Published in 1996, it was an international best seller. To date, Baldacci has published 29 best-selling novels for adults as well as four novels for younger readers.
My Opinion: Another attorney who took up the pen, Baldacci is a prolific writer who continually entertains me. I just finished Memory Man and found it very interesting with a really unique main character. Have read several others and will read more in the future. I have read 1 or 2 of the Camel Club series but most of my reading has been his stand alone novels. I recommend him. Just read the Fallen. Got too fantastic. Never Ended, Amos Decker not real life. Just read Hour Game. Too unrealistic. Trying 1 more, the Camel Club.
Currently reading Amos Decker book and I like it a lot. Will continue reading this author.
