Best Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients
1 cup butter
4 squares (4 oz) unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts
1-6 oz (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate
Directions
In 2 qt. saucepan melt butter and unsweetened chocolate squares over low heat. Transfer chocolate mixture to a large bowl. Add sugar, mix well. Add eggs, one at a time beating just until blended. In a mixing bowl stir, stir together flour and baking powder. Add to chocolate mixture along with vanilla, mix well.
Pour batter into greased and floured 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with walnuts and chocolate chips. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes or until done (toothpick comes out clean).
