About

Join us at BirdsCaribbean's 22nd International Conference in Guadeloupe, FWI, from 25-29 of July!

Our international conference is the most important event in our calendar.

Every two years we bring together Caribbean and international wildlife professionals, ornithologists, educators, decision makers, the eco-tourism industry, community leaders, students and others to share information and learn about the latest research and innovative initiatives to conserve Caribbean birds and their habitats. More than 250 people from 30 countries attend our conferences in person, with thousands more reading the papers produced by the conference and interacting with the live sessions and other on-line conference resources. Because of this it is one of the most important networking and educational opportunities for Caribbean conservationists, students, and community leaders creating sustainable change across the region.

Co-hosted by the Parc National de la Guadeloupe, this year’s conference theme is

"Keeping Caribbean Birds Aloft"

#BirdsCarib2019

#HumansofBirdsCaribbean

This theme conveys the message that we are actively working to solve the problems birds and humans face, both in the short- and long-term, and together we will keep birds soaring aloft.

The conference will feature training sessions, workshops, symposia, round-table discussions, working group meetings and project development. Conservation professionals from throughout the Americas value our regional meeting above all others and eagerly anticipate it because of the uniquely focused and highly relevant opportunities for learning and networking opportunities it provides.
