This will be a weekly seminar by instructor and invited guests on advanced topics in computing. The focus this semester (apart from learning) will be on demonstrations and evaluation for trustworthy computing.
Technical writing and presentations in major computing research areas; ethics in research and writing.
Must be a graduate student or granted permission by instructor
As a result of successful participation in this course, graduate students will be able to:
L1: Know about recent advances in different areas of computing
L2: Understand how to separate hype from reality via understanding demonstrations and evaluations
Students are expected to attend lectures and also go through class videos after the lecture. They are expected to participate in class and also summarize what they learnt in lectures.
