Matter of joy

It was March 2010, he visited a school with his brother in a remote area at Lakshipari, district Paschim Medinipur, Pingla Block of West Bengal. School is known as Lakshipari High school. In fact they had given some financial assistance to a few students earlier and were interested to see their progresses. In that school there is a hostel (double storeyed) made of mud and the students, at night, read using kerosene oil lamps. Head Sir requested them for solar light arrangement, if possible. As one module with 75 AH battery capacity with 4 CFL each 9 Watt costs Rs.22,000/- - Rs.25,000/-, they requested www.amrita-kumbha.org [Amrita-Seattle] to kindly arrange for the fund.

On 23rd November 2010 he received a call from the school in that the solar light had been giving light and the students moved up off the ground with joy.

All smiles around.

That was the first event. Second event happened on 16th June, 2012. Similar solar light was fitted in a "Gurukul Asram" located half kilometer away from the Lakshipari High School. Amrita-Seattle had donated for the fund.
