Using the Lemov strategies from Teach Like a Champion really helped me to have a better understanding of how the classroom functions at a much higher rate when there is consistency and communication. Each strategy is valuable in their own way, and I appreciated how multiple strategies can be used at the same time. I utilized these strategies on a continual basis, assessing and re-assessing the students, managing behavior issues, and encouraging all students to participate in the classroom. My values and educational philosophy were strengthened by the use of these strategies. I was able to communicate to my students my intentions of having them give 100% and be ready to participate at any time. I was fair but strict and the students knew my expectations of them without question.
