A new Team was created in the fall of 2010 - Outreach Team. It reports to and functions under the Stewards Committee. Madison Soderstrum and Jan Stole met with Pastor Adam Starrett to develop a Mission Statement for the Outreach Team - listed below. Anyone interested in being a member of this team, please contact Madison or Jan.

Sharing the love and joy of Christ through relationships and through integrating Bergen with the community.
We do this by:
Building community through fellowship events
we will host events every 4-6 weeks with the hopes of integrating the church into the community
Maintaining and growing relationships, new and old
we will reach out to people who are new in town (hand delivering letters will be part of this) or who don’t have church homes, follow up with visitors, and help new members become integrated within the church
Encouraging each other to actively share our faith and joy
acknowledge people’s strengths and accomplishments and use these strengths to help people find leadership roles in the church
offer help and encouragement when things aren’t going well for them (for example, providing meals for sick or home bound members)

In October a community bonfire was held at the Roland Park - posters were put out to invite community of Roland. There were approximately 100 people in attendance. This was a fun event that will continue. Plans for future events are in process.
Visited several new people attending Bergen to welcome them to the community and Bergen.
Coordinated delivering some meals to members going thru health issues. Sent a sign-up sheet around for Bergen members that want to help with this mission.
