Khshathra, the strength divine, is the most precious gift which drops like gentle rain upon our earth, urging the inner selves of those who dedicate their lives through Asha for the service of mankind. O Mazda, paradise is gained by good deeds. Therefore, I shall try to fulfil good actions.
BAR
The good, the precious Domain, as a most surpassing portion, shall Right achieve for him that with zeal accomplishes what is best through his actions, O Mazdah. This will I now work out for us.
BOD
The goodly power of free choice is a divine dispensation surpassing all others. By means of man's discriminating acts, it fulfils even this deepest desire through Asha. From this very moment, O Mazda, I will practice that which is the best for us.

Good Self Control, that great fortune, the most covetable one, Rectitude inspires into the heart of the wise alone. O Mazda, let me, by my deeds achieve for us that, the best.

Homage to holy Gathas. The desired authority which is like the good Bahman, which is worth preserving, which is the best and very holy portion which is given by the just holiness giving work, through the righteousness created and through that righteousness, prosperity, happiness, best desired condition and best mentality is spread. O Mazda whatever is the best for us, may we receive from this minute to the end.

That good rule must be chosen which best brings good fortune to the man serving it with milk. In alliance with truth, it shall encompass the best (for us) through its actions, Wise One. This very rule shall I now bring to realisation for us.

The good dominion is to be chosen. It is the best dividend. In fact, it is devotion for the dedicated, who, Wise One, moves best within righteousness by his deeds. It is for this dominion that I am working for all of us now.

Vohu Xshathra - the Spiritual Power of self-Control is worthy to be adored, it is good fortune, supremely bestowed. Well understood praise through Righteousness pervades in the heart for full self dedication through actions alone. O Mazda is the best, that now indeed I would promote for you.

The good Government is to be chosen as that lot which most of all brings on our happiness. Actions that oppress us it opposes, through the holy Order and with the pious zeal. Therefore, O Great Creator let me produce and help on which is the best for us at every present hour.

Praise to you, O sacred Gathas! I bestow those riches which appertain to one desires the best, or a good king; when I effect the gift which brings prosperity within through righteousness. Through our action, O Lord, do Thou make the world which is beyond, to a great degree our actual object of our attention.

Praise to you, O sacred Gathas! To me that desire for a good king is a lot which is a bringing on. By a thorough bestowal they will work increase and righteousness inwardly, and that is best deed, O Auharmazd, for us to do even now.

Homage be to you, O Holy Gathas! The good volitional power is the most intensely supporting divine lot. Through discriminating functions, it intervenes even the longing through Asha. O Mazda, even now I shall practise that our best lot.

The Good Divine Power, Glory and Will is an Excellent Blessing bestowing invaluable support; it is impregnated with the Law Divine affording even reverence unto us through our self-dedicated actions. I speak for all who are guarded in actions of Your law and by those inspired words which proceed from the tongue of Thy Good Mind. Yea, these are all assembling to hear You, of whom Thou, O Ahura Mazda art the foremost guide and light.

All are advancing forward to acquire this which is their acquisition through good action. Let therefore Thy Sovereignty be as is actual, that is Sovereignty in deeds. Clearly O Lord, do I understand through the best Mind the words uttered by Your tongue and the bestowal of which, O Lord, Thou first produced apart.

He who is Your chief in actions is listener in the assembly to that which is Yours. O Ye Auharmazd and Ashavahisht, the word uttered by whose tongue is uttered through the Good Mind. Thou, O Auharmazd, are a demonstrator before those.

O Ahura whoever predominate through Your ceremonies and prayers uttered through Asha with the tongue of the good mind, of whom, O Mazda Thou art the first inspirer, hold communion with You through prayer sound.

Those who are one in spirit with Thee in their actions, through their tongues of Righteousness and the Commandments of Excellent Divine Intelligence, of which Thou O All Wise Lord art the primeval Exponent, will gather together around Thee, O Ahura, for the cause of Thy creations.

Where doth Thy all embracing Love reside? Whence doth Thy compassion flow upon Thy faithful worshipper? Where shall we find Asha, the Truth. Where shall we find Thy Holy aramaiti, Love and Faith? Where dwelleth Thy most loving Vohuman, and where doth Thy strength of Sovereignty and Lordship,O Mazda,doth emanate?

Where is the recompense for wrong to be found, where pardon for the same? Where shall they attain the Right? Where is Holy Piety, where best thought? Thy Dominions, where are they, O Mazdah?

Where is prosperity increasing aramaiti and where does righteousness come? Where is the best mind, O Mazda where is Your Divine Authority and Power?

Where shall there be protection instead of injury? Where shall mercy take place? Where truth which attains glory? Where virtuous piety? Where the very best thinking? Where, Wise One, through Thy rule?

Where is the lord of our thrift of our ready zeal? Where does he stand to show us mercy? Whither are Thy Righteousness and the Bountiful aramaiti approaching? From what direction comes Thy Best Mind? And whence, O Great Creator, Thy Sovereign Power?

How does the Sovereignty become perfect? And how does he reach us who is coming righteousness, on the earth and with a perfect mind? How is the heaven of Bahaman constituted? How, O Lord, the Great Wise One art Thou our king?

Where is the perfect chieftainship? Where does forgiveness come from? Whence is the coming of Righteousness? And where is Ashavahisht? Where is Spendarmad? Where is Vohuman, the excellent? Where is this Sovereignty, O Auharmazd?

The questioner of all these, that he may know the universe with the Law divine, the industrialist, sage by means of deeds, being of good wisdom by prayer, who is with gifts just unto the religious leader, ruling, full of emulation with reason.

These questions are made by an humble and righteous leader, who wants to acquire a deep and good knowledge and to show the people that path of progress which is in tune with Asha. A leader, who like a just and powerful judge, may teach the truth through wisdom and bring blessings.

All this I ask, whether the husbandman shall find cattle in accordance with Right, he that is perfect in action, a man of understanding, when he prays to him, who had promised unto the Wise the true Judge, in that he is lord of the two destinies...

All these I ask for so that man may further the Creation in harmony with the Divine Law. The industrious individual, just in action, full of godly wisdom in humility, who is dedicated to the upright prophet, becomes the blessed ruler of the world through Chisti, his Perceive Wisdom.

This all I ask You - You, who excellent and sovereign have for the promulgation of Laws, sent down a righteous prophet, as to how a house-holder, skilful in action and dutiful and respectful, would in Rectitude, know the world.
CHI
A man who is industrious and who through his industry and recitation of the prayers is considered as a very intelligent man. He inquires about all of these matters so that through righteousness and spreading the righteousness he gives more strength to the White Side of the Nature and its produce. This man through his Divine authority and the blessings of holiness, righteousness and great wisdom is associated with chisti Yazata and is capable of granting blessings being a holy leader.

Through all this I am asking how the pastor, lofty by reason of his actions, shall (best) serve the cow in accord with truth, as he continues to be a reverent person of good determination and one who, although having the power over (the choice of) both rewards, has correctly understood the (proper) judgment for the just people.

I ask these to know how does a settler, by his proper actions, strengthen the world with righteousness? He is a humble intellectual who is the true leader of the lawful and is recognised as the ruler of the rewarded.
KAN
An industrious man who through his good deeds is holy and possesses humility and good wisdom, inquires about these matters, so that through righteousness he makes the world prosperous. Also he respects a powerful, righteous, honest and just leader with the lawful respect.
KHA
Questioning all these as to how he could get the Earth associated with Righteousness, the righteous Enlightener through his actions is being wise with homage, who perceives the true prophet, the ruling master unto the Pure Ones.
MIL
And it is the tiller of the earth who asks this of Thee, O Ahura; he has asked this all of Thee, striving to discover how he may gain to himself the sacred Kine moved by the motives which flow from Thy Righteous Order, upright as he is in actions, and wise as a righteous ruler, has appointed a just controlling guide for those whom he has made.

As of all, so in a certain righteous way, an acquisition of cattle and flocks. For the deed most solemnly to ne accomplished by them and with wisdom. and let him who possesses that gift, the good dastur, through his truthfulness for this is righteous in the end.

All that thou asked and which through the help of Aharayih is the acquisition of the herds. Let the tiller, who is just in his action and wise, abide in praise. And his giving in the sovereignty is for the righteous spiritual master; and thus it is that he has wisdom through the righteousness.

An industrious being, righteous through his deeds and well wise through homage prayer, is inquiring about all this, so that, in accordance with Asha, he may promote the universe, who as a holy ruler comprehends the righteous lord for the devoted ones.

Thy painstaking toiler, through his trustworthy actions, fraught with Wisdom, seeks to know, through spiritual devotion; he by reason of his spiritual authority, guided by his holiness, as an upright spiritual teacher, affords his bounties unto all, replete with wisdom; solicits inquiries on all these matters, so that he may know and understand the varied activities of this earth, as they are regulated by Thy Law Divine.

These all I ask You to know how I should foster life through righteousness, as righteous protector in action, acquiring deep wisdom through humility. He as the preacher of truth to the wise, shall be able to reveal himself bringing blessings.

After all this asks, to support the Cow, from Asha, the active, the pure, with deeds, the wise with prayers, who is mighty and holy and announces to the created the right guide.

Questioning about all these, how he should foster Life through Asha, the Protector righteous in his actions, acquiring deep Wisdom through humility, he unto the wise, the Teacher of Truth shall be able to reveal himself bringing blessings.

AVESTA PRAYER
# Ye vahyo vangheush dazde yascha hoi varai radat,
Ahuro khshathra mazdao at ahmai akat ashyo,
Ye hoi noit vi-daiti apeme angheush urvaese.

He who is the Best gives of the good and Who bestows into His chosen man, is Ahura Mazda with power. Indeed unto him will be the worst state owing to sin, who will not grant him in the last turn of life.
AZA
The Lord of Life and Wisdom shall grant a reward, which would be far better than good, to a person who fulfils His wishes and helps the creation on its upward march. However, the person who does not fulfil His wishes and does not strive for Mother Earth's progress, shall meet his retribution at the end, on the Day of Resurrection.
BAR
.... even he, Ahura Mazdah, who through his Dominion appoints what is better than good to him that is attached to his will, but what is worse than evil to him that obeys him not, at the last end of life.
BOD
Better than the good is granted to him who dedicates his faith to Ahura Mazda because of His Sovereignty. But worse than evil at the last turning point of life to him who does not so dedicate his faith.

Mazda, the Lord gives, at the following term of life, self-Control, to him who strives for His favours and does better than good, but to one who does not do that, worse than evil.
CHI
Whoever for His Happiness gives an offering, to him Mazda Ahura through His authority gives him in the third half of Thvaxé Khadat more goodness and to those who does not obey Him the worst evil.
INS
The one who accepts what is better than good and who shall bring success to His wish, (him) the Lord, Wise in His rule, (shall accept). But what is worse than bad shall be, at the final turning point of existence, for that man who shall not serve Him.
JAF
The Wise God gives, through His sovereignty, much good to him who succeeds for the sake of his conviction. But he who does not strengthen it shall get much bad at the turning point of his life.
KAN
Whoever wishes to please Him and worships him with gifts, to that person Hormazd through his Almighty Power gives the very best of the best. But whoever does not pray to Him, that man will till the end of the earthly existence will truly suffer the worst of the worse.
KHA
At the final consummation of life, it is Ahura Mazda through His Power, who renders better than good and who carries out His Will, but who enders more evil than evil unto him who does not fall in with Him.
MIL
He who gives to this good citizen that which is better than good, yea, he who bestows on him in accordance with his religious choice is our Ahura Mazda. and this will he bestow through His divine Authority, while on the withholder of the sacrifice, who offers nothing to His cause, He will send worse than the evil in the last turning of the creation in its course!
NER
The wish of him who may grant the highest good of that is, to the best is granted with bountifulness, and let him grant our sovereignty to us, O Great Wise One. And let him render that of the base Aharmana more base. And which let him not render as long as until the issue arrives in the end within the world.
PAH
Whoever gives good to him who is good; and who also bestows bounty upon him with the liberality of desire, and not merely because he is under a necessity, through that which is Auharmazd's sovereignty, and that which is enacted for him whose is wickedness of the evil Aharmok is also regulated thus. But this will not be fully inflicted upon him, before the last changing in the world.

In the final end of the human existence, it is Ahura Mazda through His power, who grants the better than good, who offers himself to him for his faith, and the worse than the evil to him who does not devote himself to Him.

And, indeed, Ahura Mazda through Power, Glory and Will gives unto him who fulfils His purpose, that are better than excellent; but unto him, who does not grant the assistance, to him at the final dispensation of life, a state worse than evil.

Whoever renders himself better than good and fulfils life's destiny, gains through moral courage, Ahura Mazda. But worse than bad is for him at the final end who does not foster life.

Who gives better than good, who grants to him according to wish, To Ahura Mazda the kingdom, but him who arise from the bad as Holy does not requite until the final dissolution of the world.

Whoso renders himself better than good and whoso fulfils Her destiny, he shall be Master through the Xshathra of Mazda; but it shall be worse than bad for him, who fosters her not, at the final end of life.

Then indeed, will I tell Thee, O Omniscient! May man speak verily to the wise. The pain which is for the wicked, the happiness to him who supported the Law divine. He verily is delighted by the holy speech who speaks to the wise.

I shall reveal, O Mazda, to the wise people Thy heavenly Message, so that they may know what evil fate awaits the liars and wicked persons; and how the followers of truth and beneficent ones would enjoy happiness. That man alone shall enjoy contentment and happiness, who would expound Thy heavenly message to them.
BAR
Of these two things will I speak, O Mazdah, for one may speak to the wise, the ill that is threatened to the Liar and the happiness of him who clings to the Right. For he, the Prophet, is glad of every one who says this to the wise.
BOD
Then indeed, will I preach the Doctrine for Thee, O Mazda, when man shall, in truth, proclaim to the wise that evil comes to the wicked but bliss to him who upholds Asha. He who expounds to the wise the Mañthra, the Holy Word, is indeed the blest.

I ask You, Mazda, explain to me, who am desirous to learn, what evil comes to the vicious and what good to the upholder of virtue? May that Prophet be happy, who teaches the learner.

Then truly O Mazda through Your religion I will explain to the people who have knowledge, that all men should say that an evil person who goes away from the laws of righteousness, then for him evil increases, but whoso supports the righteousness will receive the Divine Happiness. Whosoever is learned teaches the måthras, receives happiness for himself.
INS
For then I shall say to Thee, Wise One - because a man should say it to the One who knows - that I would do evil to the deceitful one , (as) in accordance with the wish of Him who has upheld the truth. Indeed would this prophet he happy, who shall say it to Him who knows.
JAF
Now, I shall speak, O Wise One, for You. Let one tell the wise that evil is for the wrongful and radiant happiness is for him who upholds righteousness. Truly, he who tells this thought-provoking message to the wise, will thereby become happy.
KAN
O Hormazd! I shall openly explain Your manthras, because it is necessary to tell a religious intelligent person that for the evil there is punishment and for the ones who support righteousness there is happiness. Whoever teaches the intelligent understanding people the benefits of the Manthras is himself truly happy.
KHA
So surely, I shall declare in Thy behalf, O Mazda, certainly the person would announce for the thinking of the wise, that there is suffering for the Evil promoter, but there is bliss unto him who holds on to righteousness. Such a person is himself thriving through the sacred Mañthra, who recites it unto the wise.
MIL
I will speak for Thee, O Mazda, because to the man of understanding one should declare for Thee that which is woe to the wicked, but salvation to him who has maintained the holy Order. For he is rejoiced by the Mañthra who declares it to the wise.
NER
For so are Thy words, O Great Wise One, to which the discourse of the man of superior knowledge appertains; who may be also a smiter of the evil since he maintains, that happiness which is righteousness; and because this one benefits piously upon, the Måthra Avista word, that of the wise man of superior knowledge, therefore, let him speak.
PAH
For thus is this Thy Word, O Auharmazd! When the intelligent man speaks it. And thus he becomes a smiter of the wicked and a maintainer of righteousness undisturbed in his happiness; for that Måthra is a gratification, when he who is versed in it speaks it.
PUN
Verily indeed, on Thy behalf, O Mazda I shall declare to the learned what indeed a man ought to speak out, namely that, the bad is for the wicked and happiness for him who has maintained holiness. Indeed he himself is pleased, who speaks out the Mañthras to the learned.

Then, indeed, will I proclaim Thy teachings, O Omniscient Lord, to the Wise, as a diligent man may truly make known "that pain and anguish of the wicked, and Absolute Happiness the lot of him who holds fast unto Holiness and Virtue. He verily will be delighted, who promulgates Divine Master Thoughts unto the Wise.

Now indeed will I speak on Your behalf O Mazda, for one who would declare to the wise that evil fate is in store for the untruthful, while illumination is for one who clings to the truth. He alone surely shall be happy who shall declare the Manthra to the wise.

Thy sayings, O Mazda, may the man announce for knowledge as something hurtful for the wicked, for health to him who maintains purity. For he rejoices the Mañthra. who uttered it for knowledge.

Now, indeed, will I speak on Thy behalf, O Mazda, for one would declare this to the wise; that evil fate is in store for the Untruthful, while Illumination is for him who clings to truth; he alone, surely, shall be happy in the Holy Word, who shall declare this to the wise.

The recognition which Thou give to the two disputants by Thy shining fore, Omniscient! By the molten metal in order to give the sign in the two lives, to destroy the wicked to empower the righteous.
AZA
Both parties, O Mazda, the followers of truth and false shall be put to the test by Thy Blazing Divine Fire and this fiery test shall lay bare the fate of each group, indicating Thy Award. Complete frustration shall be the share of the false ones, but the followers of truth shall reap Thy blessings.
BAR
What recompense Thou will give to the two parties by Thy red Fire, by the molten metal, give us a sign of it in our souls, even the bringing of ruin to the Liar, of blessing to the Righteous.
BOD
Such blessedness Thou would bestow upon both contenders, the enlightened and the unenlightened, O Mazda, through Thy Ordeal of blazing fire and molten metal to be held up as a sign in the two existences of this world and the next. Destruction upon the Followers of the Druj. Blessings upon the Followers of Asha.
BOY
That requital which Thou wilt assign to the two parties, O Mazda, by Thy bright blazing fire and molten metal, is a sign to be given among all living beings, to destroy the wicked man, to save the just.
CHA
That bliss, Mazda, which through Your bright light, You give to the heroes, though pierced with iron, gives proof of the existence of the two souls. Afflict the vicious and delight the virtuous.
CHI
O Mazda! through the burning light of the fire caused by the molten metal gives happiness to the two opponents in the battke. It is a sign for the people of this existence. the evil who do not follow righteousness You would give always disasters and to the righteous You will give benefit.
INS
The satisfaction which Thou shalt give to both factions through Thy pure fire and the molten iron, Wise One, is to be given as a sign among living beings, in order to destroy the deceitful and to save the truthful.
JAF
You grant happiness to both factions through Your bright Fire, Wise One, as well as through the purifying metal test. This is the established principle of existence, Suffering for the wrongful, blessings for the righteous.
KAN
O Hormazd, about the two warriors, through Your burning fire and molten iron, You come to know about it. You openly decide that fact and in the both worlds, you punish the evil and give happiness to the righteous.
KHA
That Spiritual Knowledge Thou does confer unto the two contesters through Thy radiant Fire, O Mazda, through molten metal severally to establish the ability through each life in order to frustrate the evil promoter and giving power to the Righteousness.
MIL
I will declare for You that mental keenness and which Thou bestowed upon the two striving sides. And this I will announce by means of Thy flaming Fire; yea, I will declare it for the bestowal of that sword of justice which is forged from steel and wrought for both the worlds. And for the wounding of the wicked may Thou, O Ahura Mazda bless and prosper Thine saint.
NER
Let this Thy fire bearer, the resplendent one, O Great Wise One, grant that which is the needed intelligence to those who are holding the colloquy; and in consideration of the decree of the delinquents concerning both worlds do Thou grant us reverence; that is sincere and deep piety; let it therefore the acquisitions of the evil men and further those of the good.
PAH
He who gives the intelligence to the combatants; this which is Thy clear Fire, O Auharmazd and he gives the melted iron as an offering for both lives. And with this he wounds the wicked and therefore benefits the just.
PUN
Which joy, O Mazda Thou gavest to the contenders through Thy blazing fire. Through the ordeal of the molten brass. I produce an intimation among mankind, as regards the injury to the wicked and profits to the pious.
RUS
That, O Mazda, through Thy ever blazing Fire of Energy dost give unto contenders of good and evil, the sagacity to discern . By keen edged weapon, Thou dost reveal a symbolic pass word point towards both existences, revealing that Thou wilt repel and reject the evil doer, Blessing of Joy on the Righteous.
SET
The reward which You bestow on both parties through Your brilliant light and the fiery test, leads to granting an indication to us that the vicious shall have frustration and the virtuous shall have blessings.
SPI
The wisdom which Thou givest to the warriors through Thy red fire, through the metal, that give as a token in both worlds, to wound the wicked, to profit the pure.

The reward which Thou bestow on both parties through Thy blazing Fire, O Mazda, through the Fiery Test this does lead to Thy granting an indication for our Inner Lives; that the Untruthful shall have frustration and the Truthful shall have blessings.

But Mana who speaks in barbarous speech otherwise than that, O Omniscient! He is the wicked progeny of the family of the injurer, those who are of wicked knowledge for me I invoke the Law divine, with the good reward proceeding from Thee.

That man who strives tp lead the world astray and away from the path of truth, O Mazda, such a person is offspring of the poor understanding and realm of the wicked ones. I invoke Asha for myself and my people and hope he would come towards us with his loveful blessings.
BAR
Whoso, other than this one, seeks to kill me, Mazdah, he is a son of the Lie's creation, ill willed thus towards all that live. I call the Right to come to me with good destiny.
BOD
But whosoever seeks to destroy me other than this one, is himself the scion of the evil creation, O Mazda, such as are perverted in knowledge. As for myself, I invoke Asha. May he come through Thy good blessing.
BOY

CHA
And one who teaches me other than this, is by breeding a son of the Lie. Those that are so, are miscreants. Hasten for me Rectitude, which verily is Thy salvation.
CHI
O Mazda, whichever man who goes on the other path and harrasses me is the child of Drûj. They are of wrong mentality. For mine I shall seek holiness and good blessings.
INS
Yes, the person indeed who shall try to destroy us, Wise One, is different from us: he is a son stemming from deceit's creator and thereby maleficent (to those) who exist. I (therefore) summon truth to me, to come with my good reward.
JAF
Now, Wise One, the person who wants to destroy us is indifferent to this doctrine. He himself is the child of a wrong world, and is one of the malefactors. I invoke righteousness for mine so that it comes along with good reward.
KAN
That person, O Hormazd, who goes against the rules of righteousness and wishes to cause harm to me, is himself a child of the creation of Druj. Such persons are miscreants. For myself I praise righteousness. May I obtain righteousness through Your Holy blessings.
KHA
Then whoso verily would injure me in a different way from this (divine dispensation), O Mazda, he himself is the progeny of the Abode of evil and thereby all such are of perverse mindedness. As for my followers, I invoke Asha; may he come with Thy Supreme Mastership.
MIL
O Mazda, seeks to destroy my life, is a son of the Lie's creation and belongs to the miscreants; I call on Asha; and may he come with Thy good blessings.
NER
Thus these my men are dying; do Thou even after this manner. The Druja of the creation, Hunosa, he is the one who is malignantly sagacious. For this reason am I invoking my sanctity, the highest, openly thus, I am coming, O Sanctity!
PAH
Therefore the man who slays me does this same thing in another way from that way in which Auharmazd proceeds. He who is the Hunoshak of the Druj's creation, they who are evil minded do thus; but as for me I will invoke Aharayih the good and thus Ashavahisht do thou come to me!
PUN
Otherwise, than this, whatever man verily seeks to destroy me, O Mazda is himself a brood of the creation of Druj. It is they who are ill intentioned. for my followers I invoke Asha. may he arrive through Thy good Ashi.
RUS
But, O Mazda, the man who otherwise than in accord with Thy Decree elects to thwart me, he himself the brood of a family of wicked persons, those who are possessed of perverse intelligence. As for me and my followers, Lord, I invoke Law Divine with the Excellence of Blessings emerging from Thee.
SET
And the man indeed who seeks to corrupt contrary to this, O Mazda, is himself the child of falsehood and all such are of poor understanding. For my people I invoke righteousness to come with your loving blessings.
SPI
Who so slays me, except that, O Mazda, he is a companion od the creation of the Drujas, evil amongst those who are there. For me, I pray for purity, may Thy purity come in good.
