Extracurricular Activities

Extracurricular activities

Extracurricular activities are anything you do that is not a high school course and not paid employment. Extracurricular activities typically require some time commitment outside of the school day. Colleges and employers like to see students involved in something besides school due to the skills you learn like working with others, perseverance, and time management. By belonging to something like a club, youth group, drama group, or participating in sports, volunteering etc, you are more well-rounded. These skills often help you to be a stronger student and employee.
