Veronica Murray joined the high school team at AZVA in July 2007, as an English teacher. Prior to that, she taught English at a variety of levels in the Gilbert Area for several years. Since she has been with AZVA she has also served as the English Department Lead and the High School Assistant Principal. Veronica received a degree in English and a degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State University, and a Master of Education degree from International Baptist College and Seminary. Her goal is to build a strong student culture supported by Data Driven Instruction and foster positive communication to build relationships between staff, families, and students.

Shannon Veal

Shannon Veal joined the high school team at AZVA in 2006. She attended Brigham Young University for
her undergraduate degree. She graduated with a double major in Sociology and History education. She attended Northern Arizona University for her first Masters Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Special Education. She received a second Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University in Educational Administration. She has taught in Arizona schools for over 17 years. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family. She has a 10 year old son, 8 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. She also loves spending time with friends, playing with her dog and playing outside (just not in the summer). She also love watching football, going to the beach and the mountains.
