AZVA Graduation Requirements

To be eligible to earn a diploma, Arizona Virtual Academy students must complete at least 22 credits. The student’s final semester of high school must be completed at Arizona Virtual Academy in order to earn a diploma from this accredited institution.

Lastly, beginning with students in the class of 2017, Arizona students will be required to pass a civics test per the American Civics Act (HB 2064) to be eligible to earn a diploma.You can read more about this requirement, and how students will meet this requirement at AZVA at our school testing website.

Students must earn the following credits to graduate:

* Foreign Language is a university admission requirement, not a state graduation requirement

** For students not planning on attending a university, Creative Writing A & B can replace up to 1 credit of English EXCEPT for English 3A/3B (American Lit. A/B).
