Kappa Kappa will be hosting Air Force Major Mark Schoenbeck as he presents on his experience as being an advisor for The Afghan National Army and the Iraqi Air Force.

Major Schoenbeck’s previous post was as the Deputy Commander for the 8th Civil Engineer Squadron, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. He was responsible for providing a self-supporting, highly mobile, combat ready force of over 300 highly trained civil engineers and support personnel in 27 AFSC’s for maintenance and management of $2.4 billion dollars in base facilities and infrastructure. He was also responsible to the commander for management of officer force professional development and training. Additionally, his squadron provides critical fire protection, readiness and emergency management, environmental compliance, and explosive ordnance disposal services to the Wolf Pack’s 2,700 warfighters.

Major Schoenbeck joined the Air Force in 2002 and earned his commission upon graduation from the Air Force Officer Training School. He commanded the 387th Expeditionary Support Squadron and was embedded into the Afghan National Army and the Iraqi Air Force as an Advisor/Mentor. Additionally, Major Schoenbeck has held numerous leadership and staff positions at the base, Numbered Air Force, Major Command and Combatant Command levels.
