To achieve Active Member status, you must achieve 2 credits of volunteer time per year (the day after spring graduation to April of the next year). Active membership helps to keep the chapter involved with each other and our various communities. Active membership sheets can be submitted any time within the year for review. Your board is looking for involvement in activities that promote criminal justice/legal issues, community issues (such as homelessness), etc. The board also requests that your activities be done solely as a Kappa Kappa member, i.e. cleaning the highways as a member of the Rotary club would not also count towards Kappa Kappa membership. We also do not accept volunteer work done behalf of political campaigns towards active membership.
Below is a list of resources/opportunites that are available. Please feel free to post in the comments any opportunities in your area that you feel other members may want to participate in.
