Every economist should have a notebook that serves as a rain catcher for new research questions, ideas, and methods that strike you, often at odd times, usually when doing nothing in particular. No idea is too simple or out-of-reach to write down. My notebook is here, online, which allows me to never lose or forget my "notebook" when an idea floats my way.
