There are many components which go into effectively producing content to reach an audience. One of the main considerations when creating this project was the online platform which would be best at reaching an audience ranging from young people to old. That’s what made YouTube the most appealing as it is a platform anyone can reach and it's simple to navigate. The audience also affected how the content was produced in the way that would incorporate many modes of description, being through picture and video, text description, and audio. in order to make the instructions as easy to understand in as many ways as possible. The overall video seemed most effective considering the instructions I was giving required many moving steps which needed to be recorded, but the list of parts outlined in the beginning of the video only required still photos which made them easier to focus on. Although I didn’t use the system used in the media lab, it was still really beneficial in showing me how appealing it would be to incorporate a visual aspect with audio commentary in the background that follows along with what’s going on within the screen. This project was successful at delivering instruction on how to use a record player, without being too broad or too detailed. Revisements I would make would be slowing down the instruction in the video making it easier to follow along, although the audience could stop at each step of the video in order to follow it at their own pace. Overall the content produced in the video and the platform which it was delivered on made and effective instruction for any audience to access.
