Digital Content and Social Media Strategist

The Asian Liver Center at Stanford University is the first non-profit organization in the United States to address the high prevalence of hepatitis B and liver cancer in Asians and Asian Americans. Founded in 1996, the Asian Liver Center works towards its mission to end liver cancer and hepatitis B via CARE: Collaboration, Advocacy, Research, and Education/Outreach.
We are seeking a student passionate about impacting communities through digital content. Your work will drive brand awareness and the growth of our digital communities, for the purpose of improving community health.
This will be a good fit for someone excited about pioneering creative social media campaign concepts that are backed by data.
Responsibilities
Lead development of 4 original content campaigns, including ideation, strategy, design, implementation schedule, and identification of external partners, to promote brand/health awareness
Engage with digital community members in one-to-one interactions on social media channels every day (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Review and leverage available data and analytics to enhance campaign performance
Create and execute a regular publishing schedule for all posts across social media platforms, acting as the last check (copy editing and proofreading) and demonstrating good judgment of the ALC brand voice)
Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy, and compile a bi-weekly briefing for supervisor
Other responsibilities as they relate to the Center’s activities
Qualifications & Requirements
You are highly motivated, superbly organized, and appreciate both the creative and data-oriented aspects of social media. You are/have:
One year’s experience in at least one of the following: digital marketing; social media management; brand ambassador; social media data collection/analytics
Confidence to take initiative in moving projects forward
Self-motivated, but also appreciate the value of collaborative action
Ability to demonstrate why creative ideas are analytically sound
Documented immersion in social media
Strong written and visual communication skills
It will be helpful in this role but not required, if you have proficiency with Creative Cloud software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier, and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
