Community/Youth Outreach and Youth Leadership Conference

Description 

The Asian Liver Center at Stanford University is the first non-profit organization in the United States that addresses the high prevalence of hepatitis B and liver cancer in Asians and Asian Americans. Founded in 1996, the Asian Liver Center fights hepatitis B through CARE: Collaboration, Advocacy, Research, and Education/Outreach.

This internship provides excellent experience for careers in community health, program management/coordination/development, and advocacy.

The Community and Youth Outreach Intern will plan the 2024 Youth Leadership Conference at Stanford University.  The Conference brings together 100 high school students from around the world to train them in leadership and motivate them to take action against the biggest health disparity faced by Asians and Pacific Islanders today, hepatitis B.  You’ll also work closely with our Team HBV High School and Collegiate Advisory Board on local community outreach ideas and projects.

The ideal candidate should love interpersonal interaction, have an aptitude for organization, and be capable of multitasking.
