MoS2

  • 600 mg of sodium molybdate and 1200 mg of thiourea (or thioacetamide) are mixed into 140 mL of distilled water with stirring for 1hr.
  • The solution is then transferred into a Teflon-lined autoclave and kept at 200 ºC for 24 h.
  • The black precipitates are centrifuged, rinsed with water and ethanol several times, and dried at 60 ºC overnight.
  • MoS2 nanosheets (MSNs) are prepared by ultrasonication. 200 mg of MoS2 is added into 100 mL solvents composed of ethanol and water (1:1 ratio) at room temperature and exfoliated by ultrasonication for 8 h. The resultant suspension is centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 20 min to remove the residual unexfoliated MoS2.
  • The as-prepared MSNs can be collected by centrifuging at 12,000 rpm for 30 min and dried at 60 ºC overnight.
