Graphene nanosheet

Graphene nanosheet (GNS)

  • Graphite is oxidized to form graphite oxide. Then, it is ultrasonicated into distilled water to form graphene oxide sheets. Finally, graphene oxide sheets are reduced by using hydrazine hydrate to produce GNS.
  • NaNO3 (2 g) and Graphite (2 g) are added into conc. H2SO4 (100 mL).
  • Then, KMnO4 (12 g) is added slowly into the solution under ice bath and aged for 24 hrs.
  • Deionized water (60 mL) and and 30% H2O2 (40mL) are slowly added under vigorous stirring.
  • After filtering & Washing with HCl solution (1M, 400 mL), graphene oxide (GO) is dispersed in deionized water after centrifuge.
  • Hydrazine monohydrate is added into the GO solution at RT under vigorous stirring. Then, GNS is obtained after filtering, washing and drying.
