Research

The following is the list of topics that cover the scope of the researches performed in our lab. We perform synthesis of inorganic materials, thin film growth, spectroscopic analysis and study of catalytic reactions in various reaction conditions.

  • Surface characterization and mechanistic study of catalytic reactions over model oxide-based catalysts using molecular beam and in-situ spectroscopic techniques in an UHV system
  • Synthesis of size- and shape-selected functional materials and preparation of nanostructured films on a solid substrate
  • Characterization of catalytic reaction kinetics of (photo)catalytically active functional materials
  • In-situ and ex-situ modification of surface structure or generation of defects in functional materials for applications in catalysis and electronic devices.
  • Diagnostics of plasma and the use of plasma in surface modification and fabrication of functional materials
  • Chemistry and catalysis in the conversion of chemical fuels in plasma
  • Chemistry in environmental remediation via photocatalytic processes
  • Chemistry in energy production via catalytic and photocatalytic processes
  • Chemistry in the nuclear fusion reactors associated with the influences of high energy particles on the surface of the walls and the diagnostic mirrors
  • Chemical interactions at the interfaces of energy devices behind the characteristic electronic structures and the electric performances
