Executive Committee (EXCOMM)

2.) EXCOMM Meetings

These meetings are held in a more intimate setting than the Leadership Roundtable Luncheon, and is centered towards promoting a spirit of congeniality among student leaders as well as to cultivate better collaboration and communication among the various engineering clubs.
Time: Friday 1st Week Week of every quarter, 6-8pm (evening time)
Required Attendees: Presidents and Vice Presidents, but all student leaders are welcome
3.) Fall Engineering Leadership Conference
Description: Hosted by ESUC, this is a formal conference held at the beginning of the year in Fall quarter primarily aimed at cultivating leadership skills among the engineering organization officers, as well as building a sense of community. Officers will be seated according to their positions within their respective organizations, and will be encouraged to engage with one another and discuss best practices related to their position. This is a great way for officers to network and get to know other officers of their same position so that they may collaborate throughout the year should they face any challenges or have any questions. In the past ESUC has brought distinguished leaders from industry and academia to convey their valuable leadership advice. This structure had been kept because the event was funded by the Dean. However for the next year, ESUC will work with the Dean to reformat the event to make it more pertinent to the student leaders (such as offering workshops on mentorship, booking rooms, etc). The Dean has recently suggested splitting this into two conferences in the fall, one formal corporate-hosted event and one informal intimate event for just the student leaders. ESUC will be working with the Dean over the next couple months to finalize these reformatting plans.
Time: Fall Quarter 0 Week, 6-8pm (dinner time)
4.) Spring Engineering Leadership Conference
Description: This conference was held for the first time this year and will continue every year from here on. Held after officer elections of the next year's engineering student leaders, this meeting will be aimed at introducing the new officers to each other as well as reflecting on what went right and wrong in the past year so that improvements can be made for the following year. This is a good time for clubs to showcase their achievements as well as analyze their weaknesses from the past year so that other clubs can give their inputs and advice. This will also be held in an intimate setting with plenty of icebreakers so that student leaders can network and be motivated to kickoff a productive year ahead.
Time: Spring Quarter, 6th Week Friday 6-8pm
Required Attendees: Executive Leaders (Presidents, Vice Presidents, Advisers), both outgoing and incoming
Engineering Bowl

The winner of Engineering Bowl would receive the Engineering Bowl trophy for the quarter and then host the next Engineering Bowl. These games are open ended and have varied from Jeopardy, to Hunger Games, to a talent contest, to a series of mini games.
