Classrooms
Midway through the quarter, signatories will receive an e-mail about when to sign-up for weekly meeting classrooms for the next quarter. We use this room for our Design Meetings; however, if we want to book another classroom, we have to replace the weekly room for Design meeting on the week of the new classroom booking. Because Design Meeting doesn't have a room anymore, we usually book the ChemE Department Room 5531. There are a lot of complicated rules in booking classrooms, so it's best to clarify with the people at the Events office (details below, but may change)
Weekly Classrooms include discussion rooms, not lecture halls
Rooms involved in the one room/week rule include discussion rooms and lecture halls
Ackerman/Kerckhoff Rooms
Midway through the quarter, signatories will receive an e-mail about when to sign-up for weekly meeting rooms in Ackerman for the next quarter. We are assigned a meeting day(hopefully it is an early one), and we go to the ASUCLA window in Ackerman to book it. We use this room for Weekly Study Room. Room 2412 in Ackerman is pretty ideal (haven't checked out third floor rooms yet though) because it is larger than 2410, and 2410 is be the door, so there are often banging sounds from the door closing.
The max time allowed for reservation is 4 hours/week until a certain time. Also, the larger room in Ackerman are convenient (Viewpoint Room, Ackerman Grand Ballroom, etc) for large events and there is ALWAYS funding to make the booking free. Collaborate with the current Treasurer and Orlando Luna (SOLES adviser) to discuss this.
To book an Ackerman room after the initial sign-up times, visit the ASUCLA window in Ackerman Student Union Monday-Friday 9 AM-5 PM or contact:
