SAT: Composite score of 1070 with a minimum score of 500 on both reading and math is required for full exemption. Scores may be no more than five years old.

AHS is now a TSI testing site.

Juniors will complete the PAA (see below) and take all 3 portions of the test during their College & Career Readiness class free of charge. Freshmen and sophomores who register for dual credit during spring registration will be given the TSI prior to TVCC registration.

Any retest will be given for $5 each at 4:00 p.m. or during Hornet Time in the AHS library. Check your TSI scores as registration requires you to identify the test taken. (See Dr. Kirkland for scores or Coach Wade, Ms. Rains - 11th; Ms. Phillips or Ms. Allen - 12th).

You may only sign up for one test at a time. Sign up and pay your $5.00 by 4 p.m. in the library the day prior to testing. If you have not signed up, you will not be permitted to test that day.

TVCC is also a TSI testing site. The cost is $35.00 per administration. For more information, visit the testing center on the TVCC website https://www.tvcc.edu/Testing/article.aspx?a=1201&z=763&d=201

Review

In order to master each portion of the TSI, AHS highly recommends spending concentrated time studying prior to each subject test. Students have much more successful after these questions have been reviewed.
