National Youth Science Camp Nominations Now Open

Deadline: February 28

Two talented graduating seniors will be selected to represent Texas at the 2019 National Youth Science Camp (NYSC). Student delegates attend the STEM and outdoor adventure program, at no charge. Travel is included. The students also visit Washington, DC.

The 2019 NYSC will be held from June 27 to July 20, 2019. Only students who can attend the entire session should plan to apply.

ACE Camp 2019

Dates: June 10-14, 2019

2019 TAGT Summer Enrichment Scholarships

Deadline: February 22

Awarded to identified gifted students grades K- 12, who are currently participating in a gifted program and who want to enrich their learning experience during the summer months. The maximum summer scholarship award is $400. Students may use these scholarships to attend programs with academic, fine art, or performing arts focus.

High School Aerospace Scholars (HAS)

Deadline: mid October

Award: free lodging, meals, and transportation to and from NASA for 6 days

HAS is an online, learning experience in which selected students complete lessons and qualify to travel to NASA Johnson Space Center for 6 days in the summer where they will discover opportunities available to them in the STEM area.

Duke Summer Academy for High School Students

Summer Academy is a 3-week, non-credit bearing program that attracts students who represent the next generation of global citizens from around the world. Enroll in this elite program and immerse yourself in an international experience designed to expose students to leading-edge fields and equip them to be a leader in an every-changing tomorrow. Intensive STEM Camp is also available the week prior to or after this summer academy.

Camp Arch

Camp Arch is an resident, one week, interdisciplinary summer camp at Texas A&M University. This camp is designed to give incoming 10th, 11th, or 12th grade student an opportunity to experience the professions of architecture, construction, landscape architecture, urban planning, and visual design. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of the field while allowing them to explore and expand upon their abilities to create and construct projects that will be showcased at the end of the week. Campers will also experience the Spirit of Aggieland, participating in interactive social activities, housed in dormitories

Sea Camp at Texas A&M Galveston

Sea Camp is a week long summer residential adventure for students interested in the marine and estuarine environments. Sea Campers will have access to research vessels,, oceanographic equipment, laboratory facilities, and a professional staff enabling each to learn about the ocean through hands-on experiences.

Summer Discovery at UT

At Summer Discovery, UT Austin helps students prepare for transition from high school to college for students completing 9-12th grades (ages 14-18). The 3-week pre-college program combines academics, athletics, and activities to give high school students a taste of college life. Special classes in Engineering, Sports Management, Psychology, and Fashion are available.

Spend the Day with the Corps (SDWC)

SDWC is an official campus visit 7 to Texas A&M University providing an outstanding opportunity to gain invaluable information about the University and the Corps of Cadets. Activities throughout the day include a presentation by the Office of Admission, Scholarships, and Financial Aid, representatives from the Army, Air Force and Navy/Marine ROTC programs, cadets and staff. Cost is $25 per family.

Spend the Night with the Corps (SDWC)

Spend the Night with the Corps offers juniors and seniors a unique, first-hand experience of Corps and student life at Texas A&M most weeks during the fall & spring semesters.. Participants will meet current cadets, stay in the Corps dorms, eat meals and attend classes with a cadet, will hear from key staff and learn about the university's admissions process, financial aid, scholarships and academic support. Cost is $15.50 per person.

Pre-Law Academy

Stephen F. Austin University offers the only pre-law experience in Texas designed for high school juniors and seniors, June 8-15.

Camp LEAD (Leadership Education & Development Camp) - Texas Tech

Camp L.E.A.D. is Texas Tech University's leadership program. You will participate in activities ranging from individualized leadership sessions to group challenges and team-building activities. You will also be able to explore the Tech campus with sessions in your intended field of study.
