March 2017

Our guest speaker is Kevin Rich.

We know you adore your grandchildren, but their names make weak passwords.

Kevin’s presentation endeavours to empower seniors to incorporate safe online habits into their lives so they may enjoy the internet safely while connecting with family and friends in the new digital age. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bad guys out there using the internet to prey on people. Like most things in life, the internet is going to be a lot less scary and dangerous if you are more aware of what you can do to protect yourselves.

The goal is not to scare you away from the internet, but to teach you to use it safely. We hope you will learn something about:

• Online Banking and Shopping

• Downloads and Streaming

• Computer Protection

• Data and Picture Backups

• Safe Passwords

• Scams

Kevin has been a member of FBC for over 30 years. He has worked for SaskTel for over 37 years in the Engineering and IT departments.
