Our guest speaker is Don Toth - “My Life and Entry Into Politics”

Don Toth was born in Kipling and raised on the family farm near Langbank. Don studied agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan and then entered the Full Gospel Bible Institute in Eston Saskatchewan.

Don Toth has a political career which has spanned more than 2 decades. He has been elected to represent the Moosomin Constituency in 1986, 1991, 1995, 1999, 2007 and 2011. He was named Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan from 2007-2011 and is currently the Chair of the Standing Committee on Economy. In Legislature Don has held a number of positions too numerous to list here.

Aside from his political duties, Don keeps himself busy with singing, golfing with his son and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He and his wife Lois continue to run the family’s mixed farm in Langbank. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
