Corporate War

The Corporate War Sourcebook

"When the Kafers smashed the colonies along the French Arm, humanity faced its darkest hour and most inexplicable foe. Humanity has now staggered back to its feet and driven our enemy back, but we have discovered that there is another foe: one that is more insidious and disturbing the Kafers. Gentlemen, we nowface an enemy that is determined to undermine our nation and our way of life. "

General Abigail Svoboda

The year is 2310. Humanity has been locked in combat with the alien Kafers for twelve years. Slowly, but surely, the kafers have been pushed back from human space and held in check. Now a new enemy has appeared. Emboldened by a government that has ignored legislation intended to keep corporations in check, the Trilon Corporation has taken to ignoring American and international law.

Trilon employees on the colony world of Kie-Yuma complain of corporate slavery. Trilon calls these claims baseless and demands that the government cease its investigations and congressional hearings into its business practices. While these issues simmer in the Congress, the courts, and in the media, a more sinister series of events has taken place.

"Terrorists" on Kie-Yuma attack a Congressional fact finding mission and Trilon refuses to turn the terrorists over to American authorities. American Marines seize the Kie-Yuma downport until the bodies of the terrorists are eventually produced for identification. Trilon employees who file complaints against the company mysteriously begin to disappear. Trilon cargo vessels accidentally fire on American and Australian customs ships that try and board for cargo inspection.

It has become apparent to the current American administration that Trilon is willing to engage in open warfare to protect its growing power in human space. To combat an overly aggressive Trilon, Operation "Quicksilver" was put into motion.

An elite team of American Marines would be recruited, mustered out and then hired by the shipping firm of Hortalez Et Cie. They would crew the Independent Merchant Vessel Quicksilver as it carries cargo and passengers between the various human colonies. As needed, the crew of the Quicksilver would be called upon to execute raids against Trilon vessels, personnel, and other targets of value in an on going effort to bring Trilon to its knees. If caught, no aid would come from the government . . .
