Debbie Richards

Debbie Richards, a lifelong creative, began her journey into the art world when she was just a teenager. She dabbled in the areas of ceramics and in painting with acrylics as well. Debbie is a true naturalist, showing that expertise in her pieces; she has the invaluable gift of floral designing, which eventually led to her ownership of her own floral and gift shop in Fayette, Alabama. Her love of growing things herself is quite evident in the beauty of her manicured yard. Her creative eye in that realm also steered her toward refinishing and repurposing furniture, but painting has always been her passion even when her time to devote to it was limited. Debbie, in the last fifteen years, has branched out from acrylics to oil painting. Although highly talented, Debbie paints mostly for herself, her family, and her friends; however, recently, the modest artist has opened her work to the public for viewing and for selling, both with praise and marketing success.

Debbie has been married to her husband, Jeff, for thirty-seven years. The couple has two daughters-Jessica Richards Gressett and Anna Leigh Richards. She and Jeff have a three-year-old grandson and are anxiously awaiting the birth of another grandchild-a little girl.
