Academic Quad

On warm and sunny days, you can find many faculty, staff, and students lounging on the quad.

Between the Main College Building and the One Palace Road Building, there are stairs to access the Simmons parking garage underground. The Simmons parking garage also provides underground access to the academic campus buildings.

The quad when it was a parking lot, also depicted through an ariel view.

Simmons History: The grassy quad that we see today was once a parking lot, and before that, it was a grassy field with tennis courts.

Colleges of the Fenway

Simmons is part of the Colleges of the Fenway (COF), which is a collaborative of five neighboring Boston-based colleges and universities in the Fenway area: Emmanuel College, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University, Simmons University, and Wentworth Institute of Technology. This collaboration was created to add value to student academic and social life while seeking innovative methods of investing in new services and containing the costs of higher education. Collectively, the colleges represent more than 12,000 undergraduate students, comprising 16.2% of the total Boston population of undergraduates attending four-year colleges, more than 700 full-time faculty, and 2,300 course offerings.
