The Introduction to Mentoring course is a synchronous online training held over 6 weeks. You should expect to spend about 18-22 hours preparing for class, in class, and doing assignments, which means that you will need to commit to at least 3 hours of work per week: 90 minutes in a zoom class and 90 minutes doing prework and homework.

Once you are registered for the course, you will receive the course link where you can access all of the information you will need to successfully complete the course.
Price: $35 for SIL staff, $75 for partner staff, and $150 for the general public.

NEW: The Practical Mentoring course is a self-paced, asynchronous course which means that there are no organised zoom sessions, you can engage with the materials at any time that is convenient for you. There are 13 modules offered in this course out of which you will choose a minimum of 6. (The Introduction module and Final Thoughts module are required.) Each module should take you approximately 4 hours to complete.
The conditions for taking the course are that:
you have completed the Introduction to Mentoring course
you are currently in a mentoring relationship with one or more mentees.

NEW: How to assess your mentee's competencies (nanocourse)
This is a short, stand-alone online course focusing on how to set appropriate assignments for your mentees, how to assess their competencies and how to communicate that assessment in a way that is sensitive to intercultural dynamics. It will take you approximately 4 hours to complete.
Price: $35 but there is reduction for close partners and SIL staff
