Competency manager
How to track competencies
Why?
Within the Bible Translation movement worldwide, there has been a need to create a broadly-embraced consultant certification system that accelerates certification processes, recognizes consulting specialties, and engages more local and national staff in the quality assurance process.
Being certified as a consultant is often defined as the result of a process:
earn this degree
attend this training workshop
do so many hours of supervised practice.
In some cases, however, the exact route to certification is unclear or out of reach for many interested and capable people with great potential. Moreover, the requirements for certification can vary among agencies, and the single broad category of “consultant” in a given domain does not communicate the many specialty areas of expertise that are increasingly needed in today’s complex Bible translation environment.
Many partners have been involved in the CBC development process.
