Week 1 (3-9 October)

Thursday 7 October (18:00 Bangkok time) - join the group video online call on Zoom using this link.

Topic: Communicating Clearly

In preparation for the call, read back through your entire grant proposal. What three words stick out as key to describing your proposed project? Make a note of these words and bring them to the call.

Week 2 (10–16 October)

For October you have two tasks to work on as a team:

1. Section 13. TITLE - choose a good title for your project which will capture the reader’s attention. Think about how this connects with the three words you chose in preparation for the live call. Place this at the beginning of your grant proposal.

2. Section 14. COVERING LETTER - draft a short and clear summary covering letter. Make sure you capture the reader's interest, connect with what you know about their interests, explain why you are a good organisation to deliver on your plan, and emphasise the long term change expected as a result of the funding.

Click here to find your group folder, within which there is a google document set up for your team (note: you must be signed into the google account you provided when registering for the training to access the folder and file). Please make sure this section is completed by Saturday 16 October.

Week 3 (17–23 October)

As a team, review your assigned peer team's title and covering letter. Click here to find their google document. As you read it through, highlight:

• 3 things you like about what they have written,

• 3 areas where you think they could strengthen/improve what they have written,

• any questions you have about what is written.

To do this in google docs, highlight the text and then click on the 'text bubble' to the right of the page to add your comment.

Make sure this is completed by Saturday 23 October.

Week 4 (24–30 October)

There is no review video for this month. Instead if you have any remaining questions about this months topic we would encourage you to rewatch the live call recording. Then, as a team, review the comments received from your assigned peer team and spend some time revising your proposal based on the suggestions and questions raised.

Finally, to consolidate your learning this month, take some time to discuss the following two questions as a team:

1. What are your 3 key learning points from this month?

2. What one thing are you going to do now to grow/establish your capacity in this area?
