Thursday 14 January (18:00 Bangkok time) - join the group video online call on Zoom using this link.
Topic: Setting our Course: Introductions & Overview
In preparation for the call, discuss as a team what your own experiences of grant writing have been so far. What has been positive and what has been challenging? What have you learnt along the way? Note these reflections down and bring them to the online call.
Click to access a recording of the synchronous zoom call, the presentation slides and a transcript of the call.

For January you have two tasks to work on as a team:
Take 30min as a team to read through the two concept note examples provided here. As you read them, think about what you find helpful and what you could incorporate into your own proposal, then make add a few comments on the proposal (highlight the text you want to comment on, then click on the 'text bubble' to the right of the page to add your comment).
Work together as a team to develop Section #1 - ORGANISATION / TEAM BIOGRAPHY of your grant proposal. Click here to find your group folder, within which there is a google document set up for your team (note: you must be signed into the google account you provided when registering for the training to access the folder and file). Please make sure this section is completed by Saturday 23 January.
As a team, review your assigned peer team's 'ORGANISATION / TEAM BIOGRAPHY' grant proposal section. Click here to find your group folder, within which is their team google document. As you read it through, highlight:
3 things you like about what they have written,
3 areas where you think they could strengthen/improve what they have written,
Any questions you have about what is written.
To do this in google docs, select the text you want to highlight and then click on the 'text bubble' to the right of the page to add your comment. Remember to make it clear what you like/think could be improved in the text.
Make sure this is completed by Saturday 30 January.
Watch this short video, reviewing some of the key aspects of this month’s topic. Then, as a team, review the comments received from your assigned peer team and spend some time revising your proposal based on the suggestions and questions raised.
Finally, to consolidate your learning this month, take some time to discuss the following two questions as a team:
What are your 3 key learning points from this month?
What one thing are you going to do now to grow/establish your capacity in this area?
