The theme for Social Work Month 2023 is Social Workers

The theme for Social Work Month 2023 is Social Work Breaks Barriers.

Celebrated each March, National Professional Social Work Month is an opportunity for social workers across the country to turn the spotlight on the profession and highlight the important contributions they make to society.

Our nation’s more than 600,000 social workers have amazing tenacity and talent.

They confront some of the most challenging issues facing individuals, families, communities and society and forge solutions that help people reach their full potential and make our nation a better place to live.

We celebrate the contributions of social workers during National Social Work Month in March.

Social workers—more than any other profession—recognize that more must be done to address persistent social problems such as poverty, lack of education and health care access, and discrimination based on gender, race, sexuality, or income. And they know that all people, no matter their circumstance, at some time in at some time in their lives may need the expertise of a skilled social worker.

The role of the school social worker is to provide a link between the students, their families, and the school to ensure that students reach their full academic and personal potential.  In addition, they also assist students in learning to cope with daily stressors and emotional problems.  That is what I am here for!  Remember, I am your liaison and welcome contact from parents.
